Dorothy is grown. She has kids of her own. Oz is starting to seem like a dream … like a dream she is starting to forget she ever had.

Until the Scarecrow King reaches out… A new witch is in Oz, and it does not look good.

Dorothy is not responsive… but her teenage children are willing to help….

There are five main playable characters for you to choose from.

The Tin Man, The Lion, and The Scarecrow King … these are canon characters. I’ve provided the cards to help you build them, but you can fine-tune the details yourself…

Dorothy’s children - teens, a boy and a girl. If you want to play one of these, make them feasibly the children of Dorothy Gale, but otherwise it’s open to you to create them as you will. It’s feasible there’s a third child.

Other options I’d like to get most of the above first, and I don’t want ‘out there’ characters. But other viable options include Winkie or Munchkin Rebel, or a reformed Wheeler…but your character must be good and capable of being a team player with the others.

Hunter’s Rest
A once-thriving refuge for trader and traveler alike, now a clustered mass of rotting wood and crumbling stone, bathed in perpetual shadows and nestled further into the muddy northwestern forests than most mortals care to tread.

Boring deep into the moist, fetid earth beneath these sepulchral remains lay a sinister bastion devoted to the monolithic depths mankind is willing to plunge in pursuit of vanity.

It was built long ago as an attraction, drawing in those brave of heart and steady of hand, but as time went on the people began to demand more, as people always do. More risk, more rewards, more excitement, more danger.
So the spectacle bloated and swelled, growing fatter and hungrier with each passing solstice, until finally one day…

Nobody knows, because there’s nobody left to remember…

The unrelenting passage of time swallows us all, though some edifice of man prove so vile that they retch and heave their way back to the surface.
Now, the town of Hunter’s Rest once again draws brave of heart and steady of hand to the interminable bowels that lie beneath.
So great, the numbers it has already claimed, they have come to call this place…

WIP

  • A short tale in an endless sandbox dungeon. I will focus on coordinating challenges, player-characters will bring the story.
  • Based on Diablo 1 and early 90s dark fantasy, likely to become 18+
  • Low-fantasy setting. Gritty drama focused on emotions, realism, and interaction instead of “epic” nonsense and “happy endings”.
  • Looking for a MINIMUM of 2 short moves a week.

Message or post in lobby if interested and I will finalize the starting rules and cards

I Died on Earth and Woke Up as an Unwritten Anomaly in a World That Has No Record of Me

This is an isekai story.

There are countless different kinds of isekai overpowered power fantasies, slow-life slice-of-life stories, dark and brutal survival tales, monster reincarnations, political intrigue, villainess plots, and everything in between. Because of that, I’m not locking this game into one specific subgenre.

Instead, I’m focusing on the world of Deviara and a core concept: people who should not exist here. I’ll do my best to tailor the tone, direction, and events of the story to the characters who join and the kind of experience you want to have together.

In the world of Deviara, monsters roam the land and depths. Most of them contain magic cores that adventurers harvest for crafting, enchanting, and power. Dungeons appear without warning in the wild places where monsters respawn, traps form, and loot gathers according to rules no one fully understands. A world-spanning Adventurer’s Guild operates across the kingdoms, registering adventurers, posting requests, and buying cores and materials.

Into this world, a handful of souls from Earth have arrived through an event that should never have happened. The exact nature of that event will depend on the characters who join it may have been a rupture in the world itself, a failed cult ritual, or the intervention of a goddess. What remains true in every case is this:

You remember your life on Earth. You have been reborn in a new body, and you carry a power that does not belong in this world something personal, significant, and dangerous. Deviara has no place for you in its history or its natural order. You are not part of any prophecy, system, or cycle. You are an aberration.

That is why people like you are called the Unwritten.

Some will try to claim you. Others will try to erase you. Something tied to your arrival is still moving beneath the surface.

This is a short, focused story about what happens when people who were never meant to exist are forced to decide what they will become.

You live in the peaceful country of Astraria. The neighboring country of Verdania has been Astraria’s close ally for generations. In fact, just one year ago, the Queen and King of Astraria traveled to Verdania to celebrate the wedding of their son to the Crown Princess of Verdania.

Yesterday, the peace was shattered when Verdania, with no warning or provocation, decided to invade Astraria. The army that the Queen could muster is heavily comprised of poorly trained militia. It was sent to engage the forces from Verdania, but everyone knows that the best Astraria’s troops can do is delay their opponents.

Today, the Queen has summoned a handful of trusted adventurers for a special mission. You are one of them.

The Wizard’s Tower Brewing Co, a craft brewery known for its hoppy summer ales, is in dire need of help from a band of reliable, affordable adventurers. The owner has posted a job on the local notice boards and is calling in favors from friendly innkeepers all over town to spread the word. One of those innkeepers has spoken to you… will you answer the call?

High-fantasy. Characters should have a relatively low power level, but otherwise anything is fine.

Hector the Vector, who transports dangerous cargo and takes on other people’s dirty work, has received a new job offer. As if the cargo itself weren’t already more dangerous than anything he has handled before, this time his employers are asking for something unusual: to ensure complete safety during the transport of this specific mission, Hector the Vector must assemble a crew.

Having worked with a team in the past and learned that it was a mistake that should never be repeated, Hector is irritated when he hears this condition. However, the payment is simply too good to refuse. So he reluctantly agrees to form a crew but only for this one-time job. After all, it’s just another cargo run.

In this space adventure, Hector the Vector will be aboard his spaceship, Everything 360, accompanied by its onboard robot Vec-Bot, as he searches for suitable crew members to assist him on this dangerous delivery.

Would you like to join?
