The game is an alternate history set in 1912, where alchemical magic, vampires, demons and golems are the major character options.
Depending on the origin of the character, their experiences will be different. (For instance, Luxembourg is entirely run by Vampiric royalty) The Game will begin in London, but characters can be from anywhere.
This world is one of tension, possibly on the brink of war. Every major world power has magicians who work for the government and golems who were created by them. Thier creation has now been outlawed in America but they still do not have the same rights as humans, even there. They have to be ‘owned’ by an alchemist or the government and usually out live their creators.
Demons came to Earth through a breach in reality and took over a large portion of Europe. They are the major antagonists but as there were so many of them that a number have taken to just living on Earth, migrating to America, becoming ‘normal’ citizens. Though, recent troubles with demon terrorist actions have led to them being mistrusted, even in their new home.
The Vampires were created by an magician who designed a formula. His creation quickly got out of hand and the ‘Curse’ spread rapidly through Europe. It is very easy to catch and they are monitored both from within their own sovereign boarders and by other governments.
I plan to run something mostly based on relationships between characters. I am open to any additonal ideas for character types but I’m trying to keep it relatively low key. I will decide on the plot once I know what kind of characters we might be playing with.
If there are any questions, please don’t hessitate to add them into your character and I’ll try to give you an answer. There is a timeline of major events which might lend a hand once we get going.
