And they came from all over.
The virus, the lockdown had taken so much.
As they had sat in isolation, they remembered all the places they liked to go. The places they would recommend, would take their online friends - if it was only for the travel restrictions.
So they made virtual versions of themselves - virtual tour-guides. Like a modern day Canterbury Tales, each took turns to take the others on a little journey, a virtual journey, around one of their favourite places, setting a challenge to try out some of its greatest features.
Although they could not go where they wanted, they were not prisoners, their minds were free. They could still discuss, explore, share - across the miles, and via the internet.
And so they came - virtual versions of themselves, to share the places that really mattered.
Along the way, characters will play a game where, in three posts, and whilst interacting with the places they visit, they have to give clues of a famous person for the others to guess!
