Story Background
In a world where magic prevails, mages and fighters alike unite under a guild to be called their family to use their power for power or to accomplish their guild goals. Races of all kinds are under this guild, so the guild is their name, their home, and their family. The guild is almost everything.
Xonia is a country that has several different guilds, each make up the country to make it a force to be reckoned with. Some guilds are for elves only, some are for vampires, some are even for werewolves, and some are just a bunch of powerful humans grouped together that make them on par with that of each supernatural being. The guilds are ruled by the World Government, monitored so that they do not cause too much of a fuss or make disturbances.
There are so many, but the top six most powerful guilds are as follows in no particular order:
Crimson Vanguard. A group of mix race, consisting of elves, werewolves, vampires, and everything else one can think of. They believe that together, they can make peace among the other guilds despite the differences of their race. They strive to be the best and work together as a family to make sure that what they do is always right.
Siren’s Call. A guild filled with those with the power of the sea magic, varying from mermaids, mermen, fishmen, and what else have you. Rumors say that sometimes even the Flying Dutchman comes and visits their guild. But it’s a place of mystery and allure that one should pay caution when visiting their guild and their hometown.
Blood of Valor. A guild filled with vampires, and a bunch of other mixed vampires. They wield magic that meets those of others and are said to only to feed on the blood or magic of the people around them. The more powerful of the vampires feed off of the power of the magic in a mage that is willing to give it, not having a need for the blood that most people assume to. They adhere to a code and honor system and disobeying can mean drastic… ends.
Moonshapers. A guild of powerful werewolf mages that use the power of the moon to pump more of their magic power into their physical strength. While they may not be able to wield elemental magic and the like, their magic is enough to consume and eat other magic, converting it to physical strength that can battle them.
Earthen Blades. Let not the name fool you, for the guild is consisted of elves that use the elements to their will. The guild has mages that wield a variety of the earth, but never more than one. Some endow their weapons with that of magic and others use their own fists to destroy their enemies. While peaceful, they will not hesitate to fight should one offend on of their own kind.
Black Forge. A human guild that consists of powerful human mages. Rumors have it that their lineage of powerful mages come from dragons and that they consume the power of others to power themselves up whenever they run out of magic. The underdog and considerably the weakest of all the guilds, they strive to be the best while fighting that they aren’t the weakest after all. For with their determination and willpower, they might be the strongest of them all.
There are Legal Guilds, Independent Guilds, and then there are Dark Guilds. Dark Guilds are guilds that have not been approved by the World Government and are otherwise deemed as a criminal organization. Legal Guilds are approved by said Government and work together under it to make sure peace remains in the kingdom.
Of course, within each guild is a rank of which each mage adheres to given the level of the power. With this in mind, this gives them the level of difficulty they can obtain for missions and the rewards that they can get from them.
Now, the world itself is suddenly shaken when an earthquake rips the continent almost in half. To investigate, each guild sent out a team to explore and report back. When each team never returned, the guilds continued to grow apprehensive and worried. Now, it’s Black Forge’s turn to investigate, their blood tingling with nerves and excitement of their biggest adventure for within their guild, a saying has finally come to life.
The earth will tear and the power of dragons will fight to save fellow kind.
Narrator’s Notes
This is loosely (or closely, however you look at it) based on Fairy Tail and some bits and pieces of One Piece. For those who do not know what those are, do not worry since I only am incorporating the basics of the worlds for it and and doing it to my own interpretation of what I want for it since the story has nothing to do with those worlds.
~ Players: The number of players will vary depending on the number of profiles/applications I get. The minimum is 4, but the max will vary.
~ Activity: I hope my players will be actively checking since this is a plot intensive story. Since this is also one where player interaction is necessary, please be prepared to have the dedication to readily always checking for activity or posts.
~ Tenses: I personally don’t care, whether it is present or past. To keep it consistent, however, I may opt to simply do present tense just to keep the sort of “action” pace going.
~ Other Guilds?: Depending on demand/requests, I might open up the other guilds later for a different story altogether, but for now, I want to have the sort of “underdog” story here where we triumph over the supernatural and that we aren’t weak as the others.
~ Character Bios: Please write your character’s bios like a writing sample of your character as well as a bit of history. I’d like to know what kind of writer each of you are. If not, can simply just separate your current history and include a sample of your character in action.
~ Character Creation: Please note that your characters, as of the moment, are members of Black Forge. They won’t know each other per say, but has seen one another around.
~ Character Cards: Pictures are required! I think given pictures makes the character profile a more complete look and gives me an idea as to what you see as each skill is like.
