Winter is coming, and there is much for the Mouse Guard to do to prepare the Territories for a safe season. Three mice have been assigned together to travel to Sprucetuck, obtain a barrel of scent mixture from the scientists there who brew it, and refresh the western Scent Border so it endures the winter.
Guardmice are responsible for patrolling the Territories, pathfinding, blazing new trails, delivering mail, escorting mice safely between settlements, watching the weather, running off predators, rescuing stranded mice, mediating disputes and maintaining the scent borders.
