We hope that you enjoy your stay with us in this delightful little seaside town. It is a home away from home, a place to come and unwinde away from the hustle of daily life.
We enjoy a bit of a micro-climate here with average temperatures a couple of degrees above Whitby and Scarborough even if we don’t have quite as many visitors as the larger towns tend to attract.
You will probably enjoy the town itself, wich has a high street that has escaped the big names turning into a bland copy of everywhere else, leaving a whole host of little local shops and attractions for your persual. Millhaven Bay is a short walk over the cliff trail and has a beach that is a pleasant sandy one with gentle tides and a protected cove.
The area is steeped in history with a stone-age circle overlooking the bay and tales of smuggling that span the centuries. Visit our local library or the museum for more, both are free and welcome curious visitors.
Or maybe just kick back and relax, enjoying the pleasant grounds of Millhaven house, our premier hotel. It is a short walk from the town, located right on the cliff path between Millhaven Sands and Millhaven Bay. Sea views from every room and staff whose disposition is as sunny as our weather.
