The signs were all clear, it was this year.
Everyone waited with baited breath to discover the location, most people praying it wouldn’t be St Petersburg again, or Kathmandu.
But then the word came, the unheard of announcement. The Market would return to Brighton. Such a thing had never been known, to appear in the same place two years running. Had there been unfinished business?
Separated from their homes by thousands of miles, two lost girls find their way back to where it all began…. Little do they know what lies in store…

This game is teh SECOND re-boot/spin off of “Distant Relations” I am starting this as I love the setting and really enjoyed narrating it, but for the moment, that game is paused. I would like it to continue and so this game is not as such a “reboot” I intend instead to tell a different story set in the same world.
This story is inspired by things like ‘The Books of Magic’, ‘Neverwhere’ and ‘Hellblazer’ with a bit of ‘Changeling the Dreaming’ and maybe a dash of ‘Hellboy’.
I WILL keep player numbers low (1-3) and I am willing to consider any new character suggestions besides the ones I’m offering if they’ll fit in. I have only done a very basic set of cards because I don’t want to be too precise about who you make up.
Essentially the idea is that The Faery Market moves around the world and every thirteen years it chooses a new place to be. The last one was in Brighton (UK) and this year it has returned to the same location.
I really enjoy having at least one of the characters being someone who is completely clueless about magic, but this is not essential.
Characters might be magical apprentices, or faeries of full or half blood, but I would like to keep the cast fairly young and not too aware or powerful to begin with.
I intend the story to have some fairly gritty Urban Fantasy overtones, as well as a more whimsical Faerie element. Most of it is intended to be set in the human world, as well as some pocket areas of Fae realms.
I am on UK time and I tend to post mostly in the evenings after 7pm.
