It is a dark and gothic world: filled with dark and gothic creatures of the night that feed upon humanity and bring fear from the shadows.
And there are those that stand against this darkness, with flaming brand and holy cross, with tomes of knowledge and great courage.
But you are none of these.
You are, in fact, something small, snivelling and irrelevant, something filthy and misbegotten: perhaps raised from the grave and pieced together, or summoned to serve, or simply some pathetic misshapen form who’d be beaten to death by the fearful villagers if it wasn’t for the protection of the Master.
On this dark and terrible night, the Master is at work in his laboratory creating something exciting and new.
And he needs you to go into town for supplies … and maybe donuts.
While this story may turn comical, or dark, you will be playing the Igors and Quasimodo’s, the idiot henchmen and cowardly underlings … the worthless servitors who do the dirty work for their Master, that the Master might be the central Villain of their story.
You will have little power or respect … but you will be the (un)stable pillars upon which The Master is held high. Even if you manage (as is your destiny) to fuck things up on a regular basis.
Come … come have some fun with me.
It is my intent that ACT 1 will be the set up for the story: in which The Master sends you out to get some supplies for the experiments that he is currently working on (Scene 1), and the subsequent antics in The Township and nearby Cemetery as you do so (Scene 2).
ACT 2 will be the standard, stereotypical backlash by the local villagers: you know what I am talking about, the flaming brands and pitchforks. The screaming and carry on … as the villagers storm the castle right during the crucial moments of the Master’s pinnacle achievement.
It will include two significant incidents (Scenes 3 and 4), followed by the final climatic Scene 5.
ACT 3 (the 6th and final Scene) will be something of an epilogue.
Please be aware that I am one of the many new ‘Covid Quarantine’ players that are exploring Storium, and this is my first foray into Narrating a story.
If you have any advice, I’d be very happy to hear it … so long as it is given politely.
