“Why did you summon us, sister?” The blond woman appeared out of the shadows with frowned brows. The day suddenly turned dark; the night had arrived many hours too early.
“I think you know that.” This woman was dark, with long black hair falling down upon a pair of big, black wings similar those of crows. Her eyes was as bright blue as ice, they seemed to glow in the darkness. “We can’t do this for much longer. We need help. It is getting to strong.”
“But mortals? What are they supposed to do that we can’t?” The first woman spitted out the words, before she turned towards the man who had been quiet since he arrived: “Not even you, brother, can have sunken low enough to ask for the help of mortals!”
“I don’t think we got any choice.” His voice was soft and calm, but if you knew him you could hear how tired he was. “I grow weaker and so do you. We all do.”
“Then it’s decided.” The dark woman looked from her brother to her sister and back. Then she smiled, a smile showing white, sharp teeth. “I know some mortals that will do perfectly fine for our cause. Will you go and get them for me? For us?”
You play as one of those mortals, a mortal specifically chosen by the Lady of Knowledge for some reason.
A little about the game
This game will take place in a world controlled by thirteen witches, witches as powerful as gods. Every witch got it’s own power and together they are keeping the world in balance. Now, something has happen, something has come into the world from an ancient age. The presence of this creature, this thing, - It - is reducing the power of the witches. Without the witches, the world will fall into chaos and then destroy itself.
The problem is that the witches can’t fight It, without their powers they are nothing but a bunch of selfish cowards. Therefore, three of them decide to let a group of mortals do the fighting. The journey will be dangerous and in the end the mortals will have to make contact with Death himself, but they have to act if the world shall not end thousands of years to early.
The story takes place in a world I have already made up, so use one of the available natures (but create the character as you like other than that). You are free to ask anything about the world, but I think anything that’s important will reveal itself for the players once the story has started.
This is the first time I do the narrating, but I think I’ll do fine :)
Please use your Subplot-card to explain why an omnipotent being would have chosen your character to save the world. This might be a characteristic or a memory, but make something that tells me (and the other players) a little bit more about your character.
