Since the early twentieth century, world history has been shaped by the superpowered. The great heroes among the powered protected the people, while terrible villains sought power through nefarious schemes. At first there were only a few dozen “powereds”, their exploits and personas known far and wide. As the century went on, their numbers grew. Soon there were hundreds. Then thousands. Then tens of thousands.
As their numbers exploded, so too did the numbers not only of intentionally evil supervillains, but the numbers of terrible accidents and tragedies caused by young powereds lacking the knowledge or practice to use their gifts safely and responsibly. Something needed to be done to ensure that new generations of superpowered individuals learned how to behave in a responsible and ethical manner. Governments from around the world came together to create a solution: the Academy of the Powered, an institution of higher learning for the young and superpowered.
A technological marvel, the Academy of the Powered travels the world, flying among the clouds, keeping the powered safely separated from the population until they learn to control their abilities. The academy takes students of all supernatural talents from all over the world. It’s like no other educational institution in the world, but the students still have many of the same concerns as students anywhere else. Who gets invited to all the big parties? Who is dating who? How is anyone supposed to keep their GPA up when supervillains keep trying to take over the academy?
This is the story of some of the students at the Academy of the Powered, and the adventures they experience while trying to survive the strangest school in the world.
