I’ve been playing and running tabletop games (mostly running) for almost 30 years ever since my older brothers let me tag along when I was eight years old. I ran my first game about a year later. I play a range of games, including everything from D&D to Fate to Cortex Plus to Unknown Armies to the various World of Darkness/Chronicle of Darkness games to several different “Powered by the Apocalypse” games (Apocalypse World, Monster of the Week, Dungeon World, Uncharted Worlds, etc.).
I’ve also been an aspiring writer for about as long, though I vary in how actively I’m writing at any given time.
I started on Storium back at the beginning, but I only played for a couple months then took a long hiatus until the public launch. I really enjoy collaborative writing, but I have to keep my number of games pretty low because life gets hectic (I have a houseful of kids and both my wife and I work full-time). I find that any game that requires posting daily or even every other day I’m best to bow out rather than being the drag.
I’ve seen other people list out their Storium preferences and I think that’s a great idea. However, I’m still new enough and I’ve played in few enough games that I’m still figuring a lot of things out. I’ll try to update this section later.
