Winter has come months early. The snows have begun to fall, and in the mornings ice can be found on the Sacred River. Already the caribou are fleeing south, and with them raiders from the north, fleeing the bitter hand of winter, stealing what little quarry remains. Worst of all, the northerners have ransacked the shrine of the Mammoth Spirit- infuriating her, and bringing her wrath down upon the clan. Already she has eaten the soul of Chakuk- the Headman, and still her fury is not satiated. All life begins to flee the lands of the Mammoth Clan in fear of the spirits wrath.
You are one of the few survivors of this once mighty tribe, living at the turning point of your people. Will you flee your lands to find a new home further south? Or move against the raiding northerners who brought around the ruin of your people? Or perhaps, just perhaps, you will seek to assuage the wrath of the Mammoth Spirit.

In Wrath of the Mammoth Spirit players will take on the role of members of a Sami/Inuit-esque culture in a fantastical version of the Ice Age world. Technology will be stone-age. Expect real animals and beasts from many different periods, as well as perhaps encountering ice age variations of beloved fantasy staples! This is my first attempt at narrating a storium game, so I intend to be very flexible and open to suggestion. I don’t have a big story in mind, and intend to flesh out the world and narrative through player input- so feel free to bring your own ideas in! Players are also very welcome to create your own natures, strengths, weaknesses and subplots- though if possible keep the cave painting aesthetic please!
I haven’t really got any particular player numbers in mind- though I’m thinking perhaps around 3 to 5.
