This is an epic fantasy story set in a made-up world. The world has men, elves, magic, and many strange creatures and beings.
The story begins in the Deyen kingdom, just after the untimely and unexpected death of the king. While only a few hundred people were directly invited to attend the burial service, the burial grounds are within the walls of the capitol city. Thousands of citizens are in attendance.
