Shar: a world filled with fantastic beings, powerful warriors, and wizened wizards; where sword and sorcery work side by side; where an adventurer can make a name for himself or herself.
Ruled over by King Gren IV, his leadership and direction have brought order to the continent of Gline. Wide, paved boulevards connect distant towns, patrolled by armed guards. Wizards communicate with each other over vast distances to form a rudimentary news network, bringing the people together. Bandits are routinely flushed out and brought to justice. The people of Gline are generally prosperous, but that doesn’t prevent people from trying to upset the order of things.
The bustling city of Lanzen, the westernmost city of Gline, has recently reported people going missing in the night, and bandits raiding from the east. News of these events have reached your ears, fledgling adventurers, and you have answered the call to fame and glory.
Shar is a homebrew world I am slowly working on for the purposes of running in-person D&D campaigns, but I want to see how well the ideas translate to Storium, and to see if this setup offers me the creative jolt to continue working on it.
