War of the Dead is a zombie-survival horror game, adapted from Daring Entertainment’s Savage Worlds setting of the same name, that starts aboard a luxury cruise ship and veers wildly into terror from there. Players are passengers who either purchased a ticket or were “lucky” enough to get one somehow or other.
War of the Dead is about normal people stuck in a horrific situation, so players are encouraged to make “realistic” characters. That’s not to say you can’t play a war veteran or someone with military training, but that won’t be the focus of the game.
While character cards, strengths, weaknesses and goals are all provided, players should feel free to customize them or make their own to fit their character concept.
