War has always been apart of human civilisation. Throughout mankind’s history - no matter how chaotic or peaceful, war has always persevere. Even today, in the modern age where peace have reigned sovereignty over most of the world, war still lurks in some nations.
More preferably, third-world countries; nations built with so many flaws that civil unrest is at an all time high. Governed by officials so corrupted that it oozes on every initiative, policy or place they could get their hands on. As well as black markets that treat these nations as the ultimate “free real estate”.
But war isn’t like that. It doesn’t take a nation with high corruption, or multiple insurgent groups, or a flawed ideology to conjure a war. But it can take just a little spark like an assassination to fuel one of the most devastating wars in history.
And that’s what has happen in your country. A little scandal or incident or assassination had condemn your nation to war. It was almost like an instant, a civil war had broke out and it had swept through your city. You never saw it coming.
And yet despite that you survived day one. When both artillery and it’s explosive shells could be heard everywhere; where gunfire became commonplace, and the soon would be whizzing of bullets zippjng past you as you scramble for safety. Not to mention the continuos screams and shrieks of civilians clogging the streets - where many would be riddled with bullets or rendered to unrecognizable meat. And lastly vehicles armed to the teeth patrol the city with only two distinct variations, the rebels and the army.
But unlike those who fell after the initial outbreak, you survived and found a derelict building to take refuge in. Sadly, this will be your new home. After all, the government had put up a pesky blockade to round up all the rebels inside the city.
Which means that this will be your new life. Victim.
