You have a force-field, a super power, and scythe that’s also a gun…interested?
The world of Remnant, a place of adventure and danger; a place where great adventurers and warriors roam the land; a place where evil lurks in the shadows, feeding off of fear…and you’re getting ready to jump out into it. First, however, you must go to school.
Now, this is not just any old school, nor are you and your classmates any old students. No, you are the next generation of Huntsmen and Huntresses; guardians of Remnant and her peoples. After you graduate, it will be your duty to serve and protect, and sometimes even give the ultimate sacrifice. How you go about that will be your business…but that will all come with time.
Right now, you need to focus. Tomorrow, you will be put through your first trial at Beacon Academy; one that will be very different from your standard fill-in-the-bubble test.
Hello all, and welcome! “To Be A Huntsman” is set in the world of Remnant and the universe of RWBY. RWBY is one of my favorite animated series, and having a good game set in it’s universe has been on my bucket list for some time now.
To be clear: You do not have to know what RWBY is to play this game. However, knowing what it is will help you enjoy the game more.
The whole point of the game is to create another timeline that runs parallel that of the show; but also being a simple enough game that people who haven’t watched can play. I have accounted for those who are ill-informed, and have written up a short tutorial on how to create a character for this game.
Now first off, if you don’t know what RWBY is, I highly recommend you watch it, it’s a fantastic show once it gets rolling.
Second, in order to avoid some confusion and make things a little simpler, we will only be using basic concepts and influential names (major continents, Academy names, major cities, and academy headmasters) from the RWBY-verse.
Timeline wise, if this game were to ever be considered cannon, the entirety of this game would take place during Seasons 1 and 2 of RWBY.
If you have any questions concerning what names would/could be dropped, please ask in the Lobby. Click “Learn More” to find out more about creating a character.
