While you were en route from the forest nation of Gridania to the Holy See of Ishgard, a sudden and violent blizzard brought your airship crashing down onto the frozen slopes of Coerthas. With the temperature plummeting and evening fast approaching, you and the other surviving passengers of the crash must make your way through the snow to safe haven - or risk succumbing to the dangers lurking in the cold dark of night.
