Where does it take place?
Eadrona has always been a place to which the cyclical nature of good versus evil has clung. In each era, a villain rises to power—a bandit king, an overambitious advisor, a local sorceress tired of being betrayed by her lovers. Some succeed, for a time. Some gain the fear and control they seek.
But in Eadrona, there are also heroes. These icons of goodness and hope are not all cut from the same cloth, but they always triumph over evil, and peace is always restored.
The Premonitory Order, a collection of seers and bards, has always tracked down these heroes and helped them achieve their destinies. Through visions of the future, they have predicted the downfall of every villain for as long as Eadrona’s history has been recorded.
What has happened?
A new villain has risen to power, and, as a precaution, has tracked down and wiped out every member of the entire Premonitory Order. The Mantic Texts—the recorded history of every prophecy they have ever received—have also been destroyed. With no way of knowing who the next hero could be, morale in Eadrona is at an all-time low.
Litha Watermark, the librarian who was in charge of cataloguing the Mantic Texts, may have a solution. Using her extensive knowledge of the historical documents, she has compiled a list of heroic statistics. From those statistics, she has identified a number of heroic candidates who could be the hero Eadrona needs now.
Who are you?
You are one of those heroic candidates. Litha has recruited you and several others who have similarities in common with heroes of legend. Exactly what you have in common varies. Sixty-eight percent of all heroes had a tragic childhood. Fourteen percent had royal blood. Seventy-nine percent had a personal stake in the villain’s downfall.
The question is, are you hero material?
