Tech Support Agents are dispatched after requests have been entered by end-users, if the organization as a whole takes note of suspicious activity, or if they are contracted. They are authorized to issue citations, modify and utilize technology, fix issues in the tech they are dispatched to investigate, and, if necessary, use force against both the tech and in response to people using force against the agent.
That said, they can also function as something as mercenaries (being trained in physical combat), both for governments as well as the private sector, having fought on the frontlines in the war against the Bloodbathers, a warrior race whose culture revolves around violence and conquest.
Their reputation is decidedly mixed, but the efficiency and swiftness of their work cannot be denied.
