In a secluded area of the continental US, there is
a mid-sized gated community called Lockridge Lake. It is scenic, the houses are upscale and beautiful, and it is situated–of course–by a lovely lake. However, the residents of this neighborhood are very selective about who is allowed to live among them…
Probably because Lockridge is a private haven for
cryptids, monsters and mythical creatures alike. Taking humanoid forms to aid in staying hidden, some have grown up in this history-rich town, and others have moved here to escape man’s plight. The hair raising residents are unable to leave Lockridge without
abiding by special rules. Despite this, many of them are in no real rush to leave their little monster utopia. The lake is filled with mermaids and selkies, the lifestyle is lavish; creatures of all species and walks of life walk in peace amongst one another–
for the most part at least.
In a world full of monsters, something will undoubtedly
go awry. But are the residents of Lockridge Lake being threatened by the humans outside? Or is the real horror lurking within the confines of The Gate…?
