You are the delightful guests of Edgar Éclair. A well respected robotic creator that rather enjoys throwing large parties for the upper class (unless you are of lower class and managed to sneak in).
On the second Eve of one week long parties, poor Edgar has been found dead in his bedroom. Anyone of the guests could of done it, it might have even been you.
