The Order is set in a universe where there are two dimensions: the Normal and the Paranormal. The Normal is where we live as humans, and the Paranormal is a place completely different from our comprehension of the ordinary, where anything that seems impossible can become real.
These two places are divided by a layer called Membrane, which prevents the Normal and Paranormal from colliding with each other, stopping dangerous things from happening. However, this Membrane can get weaker with the rising in fear of the supernatural, making horrible and dangerous monsters invade our reality. This phenomenon usually occurs in very specific places that are prone to the perception of fear, like abandoned hospitals, old houses, asylums and etc..
Around the whole world, several groups were created with the goal of weakening the Membrane so they could destroy it and merge the dimensions. The members of these groups are called Esoterrorists.
To prevent the chaos, a secret global organization was created: the Ordo Veritatis (or Order of Truth). Normal people that lead a double life in order to stop the Esoterrorist acts.
The story starts in the dawn of February 29 of 2020, when the neighborhood of the Nostradamus High School heard an agonizing scream coming from inside the educational building, that had been engulfed by flames of unknown origins hours before that. This makes the Ordo Veritatis call their newest members to investigate the place, suspecting paranormal activity.
