Summary: Circus mafia thriller/mystery. Drugs. A mole. Gangs. You pick a circus job.
NOTHING SCREAMS MORE MAD THAN GETTING HIGH OFF OF COTTON CANDY. The Mad Ringleader, Richardson Davis, supplies drugged carnival snacks exclusively for the carnies as mandatory health benefits in an employment contract you signed.
As ink met paper, Mr. Davis’s facade was unmasked: the Black Diamonds mafia boss. He inherited the circus as a front business and gave it a rise to fame. Now at 34, his family became the circus as crimes slide under the cover of a candycane-striped tent.
But to him, “family” is slaves on a money farm, a show at 7pm every day of the week! Overnight, mafia business takes the streets until three, leaving you four hours of sleep. By seven, you’ll rise and shine with baggy eyes when training hours begin.
Drugs from kettle corn or cotton candy have a sugary high, enhancing strength and energy before a steep crash. You’ll be burned out, craving and needing another dose.
Side effects continue with psychedelic hallucinations and illusions, haunting your vision and perception until reality blurs. If only everything was a trick of the light.
But no. In a circus of performers with a sleight of hand, who knows what was played as a prank, committed as a crime, or spun as a lie in your head all along.
Rumor has it, a mole runs rampant! Props were tampered with before showtime, sabotaging others’ performances so they couldn’t get their full cut of profit earnings.
Mr. Davis’s secret insider is a traitor among you, who can volunteer for the Mole.
After travelling across the states, the Mad Davis Circus has settled into Hot Springs, Arkansas. Its narrow alleys and underground tunnels run deep in mob history. Roaming the streets is even shadier crime; Mr. Davis isn’t the only boss in town.
Perform your act. Earn big bucks. Wow the crowd. But don’t forget who really runs the show…
