In a world where every race is separated, women are of lower power than men, and homosexuality is punishable by death; lays a kingdom. A kingdom that prides itself in executing these laws. A kingdom where everyone is perfect.
The Kingdom of Gidaea (gi-day-yah)! It was built from the ground up centuries ago, by a ruler who had a heart of stone. He imprisoned anyone who went against him, spoke against him. Women who forgot their place in the world, ghosts, witches, pixies and fairies and Minotaurs! Those who dated the same sex, death!
The rules were atrocious but kept everyone in check, obeying their ruler. Years went on, Queen Elaira and King Emmet of Gidaea were now in rule. The laws never changed. Not once. Though, the punishments weren’t as harsh.
Some people are beginning to see through the terrible rules as they now have to be secretive of every little thing they do. Perhaps it is time to come together and revolt against the cruel rulers.
But at what cost? Their lives?
