The year is 2052, and environmental damage has ruined much of earth. Most animal species have died off or are dying. For the last decade, the United Nations has been encouraging the colonization of the rest of the solar system by providing each human willing to emigrate from Earth with their own android, or “Andy.” The Andies perform the hard, dangerous work while the humans try to start fresh.
Not everything is idyllic in this brave new world, however. There have been a number of instances in which Andies have escaped or killed their masters and returned to Earth, blending in among the human population. The authorities, concerned with what these powerful, emotionless beings might be capable of, regularly send out teams of “Skin Hunters,” freelancers who are experts at spotting and killing these faux human beings. You are one of these Hunters.
