Murder Mystery
Something happened 8 days ago to Dewy Lentworth. His disappearance was the only thing that people talked about in the small town of Edgebrook Falls. Why? because the same night he supposedly disappeared, people say they recall seeing Dewey in his backyard. And even though it was dark out they each thought nothing of it. It seemed to them Dewey was just out there for some good reason to him. But there was something wrong with Dewey said one insightful neighbor. Instead of moveing about like he always did, Dewey just stood still, frozen like a statue for more than an hour. Then when the neighbor looked again he was just……..gone. He guessed he had just gone inside. But there was something “off” that day. It seemed to many that it was dark for practically the whole entire day. Also a heavy mist had rolled in that morning and made it nearly impossible to see for that whole entire day.
The following day when his parents realized their wonderful 9 year old son was nowhere to be found. they took the initiative and notified the police. And a small scale search was launched. The group searched from on side of town all the way to the other. On the other side of town a small, hidden, lazy, river trickles passed. At the river is where they found a tattered shoe half in and half out of the murky water, it was later determined as Dewey’s. They were the ones he wore to school that very day. The police were just happy it wasn’t a murder case and ruled it as an “accidental drowning” but something just isn’t right. Why did he go to the river after dark? And what really frightened the townsfolk was that they heard a child’s cries near the river from that day forward.
