The Golden Gryphon Grand Prix: Trial Lap is a racing based writing game where players ride mythical creatures.
To come in first, you need to write your post the fastest while hitting a certain word count.
In the Golden Gryphon Grand Prix (GGGP), races are broken down into two phases: Fight and Race.
During the Fight phase, players attack one another with moves based on their creature to add or subtract from their word count. The attacks can also add status ailments that affect how you have to write: the need to write in puns, with certain imagery, or in couplets.
After the Fight phase ends, the Race phase beings. The attacks, defenses, and status ailments are added together and each racer is given their prompt task. For a post to be valid, everyone must reach their word count, address any applicable status ailments, and mention certain phrases in their post, which prevent people from writing posts ahead of a race.
The narrative of the GGGP will be to follow the racers as they fight for the grand prize, a wish granted by the High Queen, a beloved totalitarian leader with absolute power.
This will be a short story version of the real thing for now–pop-in for a race, have fun, no long term commitment unless you like the game.
It would be super helpful that if you compete, you give me some feedback so I can develop a fun set of rules for the longer version of the GGGP.

I’m looking for 4 racers for this first run. Anyone who does get in now will have priority when the real thing is released. If you are applying, please realize that I am EST based. Racing happens in real time and shouldn’t take longer than 45 mins, average 30-40 mins. RACES ARE CURRENTLY SCHEDULED FOR SOME TIME BETWEEN 2-4PM FRIDAY EST. If you can’t make that time, then applying will be a waste of my time and your’s.
