We have played for a while now and I am looking to replace an inactive player and maybe bring in some fresh characters into the game to make it even more interesting. If you want to join feel free to read back a little (Don’t have to read the whole thing if you don’t want to because it’s already pretty long!) and ask questions!
The All-Father, the single god that created this world and ruled the people, the one whom our forefathers worshiped and feared - is gone. Blind prophets and godspeakers have agreed two hundred years ago and they still so - The All-Father has abandoned this world and all who is in it. And so, his children left to their own devices, old great powers crept out of hiding, and new powers began to form.
Demons, spirits and monsters, Great dragons and primordial titans, all sealed or banished by the All Father found their seal broken and nothing stopped them from unleashing their fury upon civilization, such as it was.
Others, great sorcerers, God-kings, Fallen angels who found themselves without a lord to serve - found themselves godlike in power now that no one was there to stop them.
So the war of the pretenders began, and it rages still as realms rise and fall in the blink of an eye, as godlike entities raise armies to march upon each other, to become the greatest.
But in all the chaos, there is a single bastion of order. The Godless Empire - A realm of law and tradition ruled by the Emperor of Man, A realm that disbanded the concept of divinity and offers shelter to the masses of luckless refugees in the great, world-consuming war.
But not all is well in the Empire. Political squabbles between the grand dukes, the friction between the Godless Church and the Civil administration, and the long fought war in the north, against a kingdom of giants led by Jormugander the pretender, have all been eating away in the integrity of the empire, and although it seems that times have always been hard, the ones in power are sure of one thing: We are headed for disaster.
