The Gentlemen’s Club is an elite and secret society for gay men, known to its members and friends by the wearing of an orange butterfly pin. The members of the Club take it upon themselves to investigate the various crimes committed against the gay and lesbian communities such as they were in the more secretive era of 1936. The Gentlemen’s Club offers a safe haven to gay men but in this world where the supernatural crowds the closet, is there any such thing as a safe space?
Focusing on New York City, the gay capital of the United States for almost a century this story aims to recreate the hidden world of saloons, speakeasies and cafeterias where gay men gathered. Enter a stylistic realm of color coded wardrobes where the wrong color of tie can end you in a world of trouble and wearing the wrong shoe might just prove fatal.
Note: This is an LGBTQ safe space so if that sort of thing bothers you don’t look here.
