It is the year 1774 and it has only been a few months since the first Continental Congress. With the British trying to both punish the colonists for their insubordination and also tighten their hold on colonial life and trade, Plans are in the works for a raid on the poorly-defended Fort William and Mary in nearby Newcastle.
However, things are not so simple. Weak does not mean powerless and while the raiding party is much larger than the garison at the fort, there’s no guarantee that the fort can be taken.
That is where you come in. A society of ne’er do wells who have engaged in crime up and down the New England coast need to make it into the fort and prepare it for the attack to come very soon. Your organization, the Laughing Gulls, knows the coast better than anyone and you might be exactly what the colonists need to secure weapons from the British.

This is meant to be a swashbuckling, semi-historical and semi-espionage game set in the early days of The American Revolution. Characters are members of a secret society of minor criminals known as the “Laughing Gulls” who have a rather casual relationship with legality. The story centers around infiltrating Fort William and Mary and readying it for a raid that is planned soon.
