“Far away in some locked up corner of the world there is a place-“
Alright, cut the cliche! After all this place is better than any old cliche can describe it. Sure it’s “locked up” in some “lost corner of the earth”. But it’s like that for a reason!
Welcome to Krymos…or should I say welcome? A Medieval world with modern looking people. In this world we’re all broken down into Omades. Oh, what are Omades? They’re our divisions here in this world. There’s a total of seven, and each one is essential to our community. If one Omade, and I mean one Omade, is destroyed or disappears we could all fall apart.
That’s where the trouble starts though… You see, a couple years ago there was a kid born who didn’t fit into any of the Omades. I mean none. This kid was perfectly human. Not knowing what to do with him, his parents…a Tonzoon and an Opos I think, tried to run him through all the tests of all of the Omades. Then, when nothing came up they waited until he was 16. Then, they tested him again. Nothing. I mean nothing! This kid was perfectly normal.
His poor parents brought him to the council. The council said to continue to raise him as they had until his 20th birthday, then if nothing showed up, they would have to let him out into the Agrios. Um, the forest located on the outskirts of Krymos.
Anyway, 20 hit and the ki-I mean man, was released into the Agrios. Now, it’s been a century later, and there’s a whole society of what we now call the Marud. They’ve grown…a lot, and are now trying to move out of Agrios and further into Krymos.
There’s more though…Since the growth of the Marud, the seven Omades have started to grow weaker, and weaker as less of each kind is born.
Wait? Why am I telling you this? It’s not like you could help. As far I could be concerned you are a Marud. Now leave me alone.
In this story you’ll be playing one of the seven Omade or a Marud, as you work to make peace between the people on Krymos. At the same time though, you’ll have to figure out how to prevent the Omades from dying out…and keep that quarky storyteller in line…
The fate of Krymos rests in your hands!
