The gods have returned, and superpowered individuals make up 3% of the population.
In 2000, the sun blotted out the sky for a full day and voices were heard speaking in every holy place in the world stating “WE HAVE RETURNED”. Since that day, individuals around the world have manifested superpowers. Some are minor, others are more impressive. A Council came to power in 2006, one designed to police the actions of these so-called Empowered. The Council remained unchallenged until 2011, when a group called the New Empowered Order staged a series of attacks on their agents. The Council reprisal was swift and brutal, and this tarnished their reputation, which was previously sterling.
Now it is 2017. The Council still holds considerable power worldwide, but public opinion is officially mixed about them, and even the Council itself seems to be experiencing some internal issues.
Still, Empowered are a part of the world. They are as common as red hair, and more common that certain blood types.
This is a companion game to The Empowered World. This is to help characters who haven’t joined the full game yet get up to speed and keep them from being bored.
This happens in the same world as the full game, and characters in this game will transfer into the full game when it is time for them to start there.
