The kingdom of Akkash is in celebration: Prince Tyri, the heir to the throne, is about to be married.
On the other side of the Inland Sea, the atmosphere is more bittersweet – yes, Princess Cythia is about to be married, but she is also about to leave home for a unfamiliar land.
She is not to go alone, however. The King and Queen of Pridia have sent a delegation with their daughter. Headed by the Ambassador to Akkash, it includes everyone from diplomatic staff and men-at-arms down to the Princess’s lady’s maid.
Oh– and the dragons.
The dragonriders are the pride of Pridia’s army, an independent (and independent-minded) aerial combat force that has made them the terror of the Northern continent and a most desirable ally for Akkash.
A squad of riders has been seconded to the Diplomatic Corps for the wedding; they will accompany the delegation to Akkash and maybe furnish the locals with a demonstration or two…
