Rumor has it, if you come to the black market at twilight with a curse on your shoulders, you may find another floor above the Lunar Tea House. There is a mysterious merchant who will sell you the means to undo misfortune for a price.
You are an adventurer in medieval high fantasy. A mage, a swordman, a criminal, an archer. An elf, human, even werewolf, or perhaps a dragon-kin? Regardless of who you are, you have endured misfortune and was sold off to slavery/debt bondage. One day a powerful stranger bought you off on the condition you work in that shop.
Your new job now, is to accompany the customer for 24 hours and help them investigate the curse as part of the shop policy.
You live in Capital of Ellenkrad, a multi-racial trade city next to the ocean. It has multiple guilds, river walk ways and the outskirts is protected by the Mystic Forest. An unknown incantation surrounds the city that protects the city from outside harm. It is known as “The Capital of Sanctuaries” despite the inequality and slavery.
