GAME CLOSED
The story is from the FATE RPG “The Demolished Ones” by Brian Engard. If you have read it, this game is not for you, sorry.
.
You wake-up into this empty warehouse, it is still dark, but everything looks familiar, the light, the smell, everything exempt …yourself. You can’t even remember your name, and worse, you found a corpse, someone was killed. And since that moment, a terrible though has been gnawing at you. Could it be you ? Are you a monster ?
.
Narrator notes: Test Run
The WORLD: It is happening in a dark dystopian Victorian city (1860-1890, think Sherlock Holmes) where all is not what it seems. In fact, something is wrong with the world, you might want to found out what :-)
Main story THEMES: Identity and Truth
The story will be about the characters and their search for identity and truth.
- Are they defined by their past (dark) actions or can they take their destiny into their own hands ?
- Hit by unusual circumstances, confronted with the reality of the world, will they expose the truth or continue to live the lies.
- Given unexpected possibilities, will they use it for good or for their own selfish desires.
Main ACTIONS: There will be a lot of investigations as the plot unfold. Your character might not be in control of his (dark) past but he will definitely choose his future.
Speed NORMAL: I am expecting minimum one or 2 replies (Move) per day and some investment is the story.
Style NICE: No Player vs player, no explicit bad things, no unnecessary death. Usage of 3rd person for description and decent english. (I am french speaking so my english is far from perfect.)
WRITING convention:
“Speaking aloud”, [Speaking in your head], Normal style for Description of actions, Italic for other highlight.
APPLICATION Closed for now.
Obviously, you don’t need to provide a back story as all characters suffer from amnesia. The first scene will start as you wake-up remembering nothing, not even your name and meeting the other characters. During play, you will get cards describing some of your memories as they come back to you.
You can still write what he or she looks like, what’s his or her attitude and find a picture. The rest will be define in play.
Also in your description, could you add 1) What one common object do you have on your person? 2) What’s the first impression people get of your character? 3) What one physical feature most stands out about your character? Thanks
Enjoy,
