1871 was a good year for many, but not the inhabitants of Slow Road, South Dakota. They were a stop on the way out further West. They weren’t as well known as Deadwood, nor were they as high-class. But they had a bar, and a ditch to do your business in.
This is the story of The Brown Nugget Gambling Hall & Saloon, and its employees. They’re a ragtag bunch, brought together from all over the place - but they work together here, to carve out a living, or to bury the ones who disagree with how they do things.
They say the railroad’s coming to Slow Road. That’ll be a cold day in hell.
NOTES: The Brown Nugget Saloon will be an Old West / Comedy Story.
Though I’m excited to portray a gritty Old West in this story, I will not allow graphic depictions of anything that goes on upstairs. Nor will I allow any racial language (despite the historical accuracy you might argue justifies it). Innuendo and other coarse language is perfectly acceptable.
When applying, please advise me that you read the above and agree to it, and please poke around my other story, Flux!
We’re looking for Main Characters, as well as “passerby” - if you’d like to drop in for a single story, and we’re accepting applications, please let me know in your application that you’d just like to play for a single Scene or Chapter as a Guest Star. Thanks!
