Several teenagers about to age out from different foster homes are unexpectedly chosen for adoption by an eccentric, reclusive woman named Mrs. Bellhurst, who lives in a sprawling Victorian mansion in the countryside.
Each of them is promised something different — stability, education or a chance to belong — but soon realize they weren’t chosen for who they are, but what they are.
