Pegarius is a planet that has always had valiant warriors and, of course, mighty dragons. Thousands of years passed by in an instant for the dragons while the humans on the other hand felt like they had always fought the dragons for as long as they had known. Years went by with bloody wars and burning fields of bodies as far as the eye could see, until one day everything changed. His name was Taren and he was the first dragon rider in the history of Pegarius, though by accident. The boy was known for adventuring and getting himself in trouble and that’s what caused him to come across an abandoned dragon nest with one egg left, the mother long gone or dead. He took it home with him and just a day later a dragon hatched from it and bonded with the boy, the name of the hatchling, which he gave to himself, was Garlaf. Who grew into a fine young dragon within a month and seemed ready to fly, but being the mischievous boy he was Taren wanted to go with him. After that the story grows fuzzy on how peace fell upon the two clashing species, though many make up the rest just so they can complete the tale.
Every hundred years in the great city Westernhaven, ruled by the great king Sacar and his mighty dragon Warclaw, dragons bring forth the eggs that haven’t hatched and are waiting for their riders, unlike some who hatch without wanting or needing riders. Hundreds of great warriors, brave common folk, and royalty will try their chance at becoming a dragon rider. Warriors and their dragons usually fight or serve in the army, many commoners use them to travel and adventure or to help on the farm, and royalty honor their dragons giving them only the best and ruling side by side with them.
Unfortunately nothing is the same as before, a great enemy has begun to bring darkness upon the land. Only a few kingdoms are safe at the moment the rest are being burned to the ground and ripped apart by Orcs and black demon like creatures that come in all forms. You and your companions must find an ancient longbow named Hell’s Whistle that in many books say in can close or open a portal to hell, which is how the black demons will be hopefully be defeated. Once they are gone the army will be able to defeat the Orcs once and for all.
Note: In this story I’ll ask for six players, three dragons and three riders and maybe a seventh player for one of the evil characters. I will choose the partners but the dragons you can say if you would prefer one rider over the other though i won’t guarntee anything. You will all start in Westernhaven for the festival to see the dragons hatch for their riders. The races you can choose are elf and human if your the riders and of course dragon if your a dragon. For the story the dragons will not be able to shape shift but can have some magic that instantly is given to the riders as well. This is also my first story i’m narrating so feedback an ideas would be helpful. Also feel free to make new cards for your character.
