This is a Mage: the Ascension game on Storium!
A group of mages, all fresh from their apprenticeships, are sent to gather in Philadelphia to become part of the Mage community. While there, some strange things start happening, people seeing things that don’t see to be there, spectral appearances throughout the city, and that’s just the beginning.
As they start to investigate, whatever is causing it starts to investigate them, and it becomes a race to find it and stop it before it gets them.
House Rules: There will be several rules here to adapt Mage to Storium and maintain the what I consider to be the feel of the game a bit.
1) Spheres will be handled as loot. You will have the usual 6 dots to distribute (put it in character description) and I will drop spheres in such a way that each dot gives you a use of the sphere at each dot up to it. They will be replenished as the story dictates, so don’t be shy about using them.
2) Feel strongly encouraged to go off-list for Strength, Weakness, Goal, and Nature (which is more like Concept in WoD terms).
3) Paradox will be handled completely narratively, and so will be not just explode as damage when possible. Usually, at the end of a challenge where paradox should come into play, either I will tell you to let me dictate paradox (the first few scenes will be like this) or I will give you freedom, particularly if you indicate that you have a cool idea.
