OUTWIT OUTPLAY OUTLAST… IN SPACE!
It is the year 3000. Humanity has spread throughout the stars. Technology has brought marvels beyond what previous generations could have ever imagined. Advanced artificial intelligences and mind-boggling alien life forms are now just part of every day life.
In this new age of technological wizardry, there is only one constant, one link to an earlier, simpler age of humanity: Survivor, the ever popular reality competition show now entering its one thousandth season. Who will be emerge victorious in this contest of wits and strength? Who will be the sole survivor?
Heavily inspired by the two fantastic Survivor: Storium games run by the fantastic MacStainless, this game aims to combine the wacky competitiveness of Survivor with the fun of cheesy science fiction tropes.
I’m aiming for a fun and fairly lighthearted tone here. Feel free to be somewhat silly with character concepts.
Just like in classic Survivor, participants will be initially divided into two tribes. From there they will compete in a variety of reward and immunity challenges. Those without immunity will have to vote out one of their own at tribal council. Once voted out, you are an observer. Those voted out later in the game will become jury members and vote for the ultimate winner at the end of the game.
This game will rely heavily on Storium’s private messaging feature, mainly for scheming and planning alliances with other players. You will periodically be asked to send ‘confessionals’ via private message to reveal what is going on behind the scenes.
Feel free to go nuts with the sillier science fiction elements of the setting. Want to play a robot contestant? A cyborg? An alien? Go for it.
Placeholder nature, strength, weakness, and subplot cards are provided. Please create your own custom cards.
Characters should not have any pre-existing relationships before the start of the first scene.
I am aiming for a total of 16-20 players, but will start will less if we can’t find enough.
