Ideally, we are looking for 8 contestants and 3 judges. Contestants can be characters of any type, with any abilities the player chooses. In each of the combat scenes, they will be put into an environment, in this case, one of the Storium genre worlds, and assigned an opponent. Each Contestant will write a story about how they defeat their opponent. In the judging scenes, the Judges will render their decisions on the winner based on who in each pair wrote the best story. The winners will advance to the next combat scene.
This will be a cardless game, victory will be decided based on combat story alone. As such, it is important that Contestants give a thorough description of their abilities when they create their characters. There is nothing to stop Contestants from creating a god-mode character except for the fact that god-mode doesn’t usually make for a very interesting story.
Judges may disclose as much or as little of their judging philosophy in their character description as they like. Feel free to RP your role as judge in the judging scenes if you like.
