The city of Altamira sits at a crossroads, both physically and metaphorically.
The war with Montaigne has ended, and Altamira emerged relatively unscathed. Now, Montaigne nobles fleeing that country’s bloody revolution see Altamira as a place of sanctuary. The Inquisition has used the threat of porte sorcerers to increase its presence within the city. But what is the Inquisition really searching for?
I hope to run this as a game of high adventure and intrigue in the world of Thea. Those familiar with 7th Sea will notice that the initial Strengths and Weaknesses are taken from the virtues and hubrises. While wild cards and later strengths/weaknesses can be open to just about anything, I would like for the initial ones to be from that list. The subplots are also taken from the 7th Sea backgrounds. I would accept subplots taken from other 7th Sea backgrounds (I didn’t have time/space to convert them ALL), but I would like to keep them from this general area to preserve the feel of the game.
