Welcome to The Union…
This is a story that takes place in an alternate universe. There is no Earth, though humanity abounds, born of 17 seed worlds, and expanding across nearly 1,000 light years of space.
The Unified Human Collective (The Union) is a Dystopian, and totalitarian society which has propagandized all of its citizenry into believing that the Alien threat is real, and dangerous.
They have lead us to believe that every non human race has one agenda; to wipe humanity from the face of the universe!!! It’s made believable, it’s made real… they are out there! As a means of protection the Union Government, lawmakers and officials have begun what is known as the ‘Apex Project.’. Select Human’s undergo intensive genetic augmentation, which gift them with special abilities which exist somewhere between fantasy style magic, and comic book style super powers; These beings are placed on the brink of Civilized space as our protectors; our guardians against the nightmares born of the unknown.
You… We are Apex. We give up our homes, our loved ones and our lives, to protect them. We give up our Utopian dreams within the Core systems in hopes of protecting all that we hold dear.
The story is to revolve around one unit of Apex Guardians, whom fate shines upon to show some… spectacular truths in the light of all the propaganda and rhetoric spoon feed the People of the Core Worlds.
