But where do the ronin stand ?
The district of Ashitaka is far from the well-travelled road but that doesn’t mean it has been forgotten by the Empire.
The Empire is still recovering from the Great War and the clans are hoarding their resources.
Many calls have been sent by the Imperial Magistrate to help the imperial district but it has fallen on deaf ears. Through political maneuvering or outright refusal, none of the clans have responded to the call by sending men. To avoid losing face they have gathered expendables and possible scapegoats to send in their stead . Ronins
