In the mystical land of Kangadon, children used to engage in a ritual after their sixteenth birthday. Without the aid of their family or friends, they traveled through Turukai, the Spirit Gate created by the revered Turu (Spirits). Along their journey, they received their Guide before emerging on the other side as adults.
This tradition forever changed after an earthquake cut off access to Turukai. Guides were no longer received and adulthood was simply marked by passing seasons. After unearthing this history, a young Kangadoni travels to rediscover Turukai and claim their Guide.
