The year is 2027, a year of a technological advancement unlike the world has ever seen:
The Murakami Chip. This chip was created to help bring people to full cognitive function after brain damage, and it can be used to mentally control biotic limbs and organs. The computer chip works along side regular brain functions of a human being, but augments them to the desired result, building pathways in the brain artificially that have been damaged or were never there before.
The chip was reigned as a miracle. It brought “vegetables” back to full functioning human beings, it let the blind able to use robotic eyes seamlessly, it gave amputees the chance to have fully biotic limbs that moved as easily and effortlessly as the organic ones they lost in accidents long before, it even could help those labelled as “insane” to live life without the tainted thoughts they used to be plagued with every day.
To launch the Murakami chip and medically test it, the company set out a type of “lottery”. Anyone with a condition that the chip could cure could send in an application. A select group of 200 people were chosen to receive the trail run, some by legitimate luck, others by buying their way in to the test.
The testing phase was a massive success, and within a year’s time all 200 of the trail patients showed near 99% improvement with a 1% margin of difficultly or error. However, just before the Murakami chip was set to be released publicly, the company sent out a massive recall. All 200 patients were required to visit the lab in outskirts of Vancouver, Canada.
No one knows why they recalled, and what will happen to those who now rely on the chip.
“Recall” is a Drama/Mystery.
You play as one of the 200 people with the Murakami Chip.
The story will take place in the Murakami facility, as you are subjected to tests and analyzations.
I hope to play the game slowly, 2 scenes a week and have it come to a clear end in the span of 6-8 weeks.
