It’s in the early 2000’s, the world is on some new scientific breakthroughs which seem to change all medical science of the day. Chairman of Smile Inc, and Aaron Goldman, has said to be working on the cure for cancer in his company. His people have found a new breakthrough with a strange organism from Middle America, namely El Salvador, which has some strange abilities. His company vows that within five years the cure for this horrid disease will be established, and possibly the cure for many other diseases people suffer from these days.
Too most, it sounds like the work of science fiction and they’re more willing to believe in the cure the day they can see proof of it working. Aaron promises to the mass that a test will be held out sometime within the year, hopefully, to see how the cure effects people. It’s been about three years though, and nothing positive, or for that matter, negative has come back from Smile Inc. Aaron only assures people that his labs are working on the new serum and it will soon be available for people.
As the time passed, people began to grow an unneeded hatred toward Aaron Goldman and his company, for the false promises of a cure. People try to keep in mind he promised in five years the cure would be made, but people with sicknesses are dying and he’s done nothing to see if he can save them yet. What if they’re just empty promises? Others believe he cannot fix the people for religious reasons, saying the people were meant to go when they needed, and Aaron should not be playing the role of God. But somewhere in the neutral zone are people who just don’t care, those who just keep going on with their daily lives like nothing’s ever going to change.
But the news would be great, after the conflict in the Middle East had just subsided for the people fighting there. The war zone has calmed and many soldiers return home, broken shells of themselves, of who they used to be. Psychology is growing more and more as well, trying to cure these new found broken souls and mending them back to a better health. Doctor’s are also progressing more and more with the finds of Smile Inc, trying to compete for the cure before Aaron Goldman can succeed in his findings.
And in the midst of this growing world is you, someone who may be in the middle of everything, or just an outside observer. Each and every day something new and fascinating is being discovered, just for you to use. But on this momentous day, you find not technology or medical advancement to be on your plate. You find a ticket has been given to you, for one reason or another, to the grand opening of a new play. The play is being called “Curtains” and has high reviews from the critics of this day. It’s an honor to most, going to such a play and seeing what all the fuss is about.
And so you pack your bags, board a plan, travel by car, etc. It’ll be good to see something you haven’t seen before.
Have you heard the rain?
And it takes you down to Florida, a nice little tourist trap where you can enjoy a seven day vacation while you’re about to see “Curtains.” The people who have given you the tickets also afforded a nice room in a hotel, down in a small town called Clearwater. The place is gorgeous. The water is blue, the sand white, and it seems to really give a comfortable atmosphere to anyone there.
Are you listening to the rain?
Though on the night of the play, a large storm has rolled in. It was broadcasting on TV a few nights back that the storm was going to roll in, but that wasn’t going to stop you from seeing the play. Though, on the news as well, is Aaron Goldman, saying he will start a test very soon with the new formula. His headquarters are actually close by, located in the small city of St. Petersburg. It’s just down the road. You could drive to it.
LISTEN TO THE RAIN
And through your travels to “Curtains” you swear, for some odd reason, you can hear something whispering outside.

Sorry if that was a bit long, but I definitely need to get as much information as I can out there for anyone wishing to join the game. This concept’s genre is horror and supernatural, so expect a lot of strange things to happen around your characters.
For your character’s, I’d only like to see a few things:
*A detailed biography, history is always good.
*Someone your character has lost and felt close to.
*No supernatural prowess, you are an ordinary
human.
Otherwise, provide me with what you like. And don’t be afraid to create your own cards if you do not see one that suits your fancy. I love to see the creations of others and how they’ll be applied to my universe. Share any idea’s you have with me as well by going to my profile and finding a good way to contact me. I’m glad to incorporate idea’s into the story for your character’s as this makes the world feel richer.
Other than this, provide a character when you can, and I look forward to working with everyone!
