A news anchor in a business suit walked and sat down in front of a camera looking over his notes. A look of uneasiness is apparent in his face. The camera operator yelled:
“You’re on!”
The man looked up at the camera speaking to the people through their TV’s.
“Coming to you from RC11 News, I’m Tyler Brown. Some of you may have known from the past couple of nights, we have reported to you of mysterious animal attacks coming from within the Arklay Mountains. Today I’m being told now Arklay County police is currently investigating several murders having occurred in that region. They told our own Wanda Mack that it appeared those who were murdered that their homes were forcibly broken into but wouldn’t answer anymore questions about it.”
The TV shuts off.
Raccoon City is your typical mid western American city. With a population of over one hundred thousand and with the city itself being completely surrounded by the Arklay mountains, it is no wonder why many people choose to live in the city. You for whatever reason have also chosen to live in the city, for whatever reason. With reports of murders not too far from your home, you begin to wonder what is going on with what was a fairly peaceful city. Nevertheless, you go about your business with whatever you do for work or your free time not knowing how quickly your life will be changed, forever.
This is a survival horror story set in Raccoon City in the year 1998, a bit before the whole outbreak starts. While you go about your business, those people who are being brutally murdered are in fact reanimating as zombies. Everyone, including you will have no knowledge of this. It will be up to you to find out what’s going on, what the danger is, and what you will do in order to survive the challenges to come.
Zombies won’t be the only danger but to be specific on what kind of zombies you’ll be dealing with, here is some of it’s traits:
-Head shots from normal weapons like small caliber pistols will take multiple head shots for a zombie to truly die.
-Fairly strong, it will take martial arts skills, removal of clothing, or a tool of some kind to break the grip of a zombie.
-Bites are generally a death sentence without immediate intervention. Your character will already be infected at the start of this story but resistant to it (There is a reason for this). Bites will accelerate infection 100x faster.
-Slow moving but they move in an erratic fashion, making shots to them slightly more difficult.
-Defeated zombies don’t necessarily mean dead zombies (your character won’t know that yet). A dead zombie is one where the brain is destroyed. Removal of the head stops the body but the head continues to be a source of possible transmission.
