You serve the Queen of Selvestria, a human colony in the borderlands of the Ardenwald. A Shining Road leads back to human lands, and the Weeping Sea surrounds this island, separating it from fey lands.
Spies, scholars, and merchants lust after power and position in this strange place. Fey creatures do not dismiss the claims of the humans, but instead seem to have mysterious reasons of their own to allow the colony to survive, under treaty with the Empress of the Weeping Sea.
Trade is brisk, and city life is riddled with intrigue. Only the finest protectors are elevated to the Queen’s Guard, with their dashing black uniforms. Protectors are called from all walks of life to protect the now-immortal Queen of Selvestria, Lyneria Fiecault IIX.
